Big day for Brady - shot even par on 9 for the first time ever!!! No mulligans, no gimmies and played it down. Neither me or my Dad did this until high school - pretty damn impressive. I think his favorite part was that he took his old man out behind the woodshed along the way 😅

Proud author alert 🚨 just got copies our new book, The Authority Advantage, which releases from Forbes Books on May 16th, at the office 📘🎉🍾 @adamdwitty and I spent much of 2022 writing this book in response to leaders asking us for a roadmap to build thought leadership focused on impact, not ego and we’re really excited about how it came out. I want to thank YOU for your support on this journey - whether you know if or not you have been a big part of helping this book become a reality. I also want to thank the many leaders and friends who stepped up to support us by endorsing the book, including former Boeing & Ford CEO Alan Mulally, Steve Forbes, @sallyhogshead, Claire Shipman, Jack Daly, Verne Harnish, Dabo Swinney and David Meerman Scott, one of my PR & Marketing heroes, who was kind enough to write the foreword to the book. The @forbesbooksfamily did such a fantastic job guiding us on tone, designing and publishing the book and our @zilkermedia team has worked so hard to help us launch it next month. We are doing the official launch party on May 9th at Forbes on Fifth in NYC and will have more details on the Austin launch soon - thank you so much for all of your support - really excited about this one!!

Much to our wives’ amusement, @rryanlynch and I leveraged the uni swag 🤘and some solid final round golf at Great Hills for a #6 finish in the 72-team strong Gold Rush tournament 🏆⛳️💰We could have made a few more putts today but hung in there after playing really well yesterday. Great weekend - packed in 3 days of golf with some fun in between and only a handful of double bogies - looking forward to next year

Happy birthday Paige! The do everything Mom, wife, daughter, friend, school co-founder, petting zoo builder and too many other things to list - we are so thankful for you and despite the fact that your oldest son drew a “40” on your birthday card this morning - the wrong year - we all know he meant 39! We love you more than you know 🙏

Last weekend Paige and I took Sadie to @waltdisney

Last weekend Paige and I took Sadie to @waltdisneyworld for her 7th birthday (couple weeks early - the big day is Feb 12) and she had the absolute time of her life. It was the first time to Disney for all three of us and we packed as many memories (and steps) as we could into 4 days. She was far less interested in the rides, the food or the sights than she was in meeting every Disney character there - and we found just about every line we could to meet the whole crew 🤣 including having breakfast one morning in the castle with Cinderella. Sadie loved to ask the characters lots of questions and just beamed each time she got to meet them - was so fun to watch 😍 Mom and Dad are still catching our breath but she’s asking when she can go back and see Minnie and the crew again. I’m not sure we are full-on Disney people but I was impressed with the experience and, based on Sadie smiling from ear to ear the whole time, I’m sure we will be back very soon 😅

@AdamDWitty and I spent the past few days in this studio in north Austin recording the audiobook for our upcoming book, “The Authority Advantage: Building Thought Leadership Focused on Impact, Not Ego,” which will release May 16th from Forbes Books. I am SO excited about this book but wow, even with a great audio engineer and a a co-author doing half the work, it’s hard to read it out loud for two days straight 🤪 This book is less marketing than our last one and more a call to action for leaders - particularly those who have a ‘throw-up-a-bit-in-your-mouth’ gut reaction to the phrases ‘thought leadership’ or ‘personal branding’ - to understand that although no one trusts your company/institution/non-profit/entity anymore, they are willing to trust YOU, if you are visible to them in an authentic, credible and, ideally, a mission-driven way. More on the book down the road but one last bit - we recorded this at a studio located two streets over from where I grew up in Northwest Hills - no doubt there would be a ton of very surprised English teachers of mine from down the road at Anderson High School!!

Lake Travis homecoming for Luke last night - what a stud!!! I wore my Dad’s outrageously big sport coat to my first homecoming and apparently Paige still has nightmares from that outfit because she and Luke spent most of the day Sat working on this one - but it worked. Party bus with some friends and his first big dance in the books - next year he will be driving to it 🤯🤯🤯

Happy 15th birthday Luke! It’s hard to believe in so many ways but we could not be more proud of this young man. He’s a natural leader known for kindness, optimism and entrepreneurship- building a carpentry business (among others) with some very happy clients this year. Most importantly, he’s true to himself and his faith and always looks for an opportunity to serve those around him. Luke - Mom and I are so proud of you son - your future is so very bright - we love you. I know your mama is thrilled you are going to be able to drive her around once you land that permit!!

Happy 13th Birthday Brady! Spent some time this morning looking back through just a few of the great memories with Brady over the years and it got a bit misty over on Fitzhugh - so proud of the young man he is - few are more gifted at making people laugh, lifting others up and being a great role model. Not to mention he’s out-fishing and damn near out-golfing me these days 😅 His emotional intelligence is something that stood out from a very young age and it’s awesome to watch it keep growing. Big things ahead, Brady - keep being yourself - Mom and I look forward to many wonderful years making great memories and supporting you as you become the wonderful young man God created you to be. How’s it hit you when your oldest child is a freshman in high school? It hit us hard this morning - just flat out surreal. Luke will be 15 in one month and is a freshman (🤯😭) at Lake Travis High School, Brady will be 13 in a couple weeks and is in 7th grade at Lake Travis Middle School and Sadie is 6 and will be starting 1st grade tomorrow at Spicewood Christian Academy. They are each blessing us in so many ways - 🙏 for a wonderful year ahead

18 years ago tonight I officially became the luckiest man on earth. We met at 14 and 15 years old on a blind date (forever in debt to @evanaepstein and @claireburr17) at perhaps the worst movie of the 20th century and we have been head over heels ever since. It is a special thing to be more in love with your wife 18 years in than you were when you said I do but I am so grateful to be in that camp. She is the best Mom, wife, friend anyone could have - I love you Paige - looking forward to the next 50 babe

Big day for our family yesterday - @chillkimble ba

Big day for our family yesterday - @chillkimble baptized Brady in the same baptismal at @churchathp as his brother a few years earlier (and me - many years before that). Brady made this decision himself and I’m proud and so thankful he chose to take up his own journey of faith at this point in his life 🙏 I didn’t have the other picture but Sharon, Nanny, Macy, Jack and Drew were also there to celebrate. After church we headed off to youth camp and we will be down at @schreineruniversity this week (yes, the HP bus made it!!! - though not without a bit of drama) with several churches as part of the SWBYC youth camp group that we have joined with every summer since as far back as I can remember - we will see if I can keep up with these kids all week 🤪

The adrenaline hits a little different in tournament golf and Brady is starting to get used to it - way earlier than I ever did. He was an absolute magician with his short game en route to shooting 41 and finishing 3rd in his second @stpgajuniorgolf tournament of the year. He birdied #1 and then scrambled like crazy to battle through a few errant tee shots to shoot an awesome score - this kid is going to beating me soon 😬⛳️👏

How about a 59 out at Avery Ranch today from these studs!!! There were much lower squads but we made everything we looked at inside of 20 feet - was crazy - pretty magical afternoon w/ Dad and Brady. Had a great time supporting @gavinsgiftofgrace - their first tournament and was such a success - great job to Amy and the whole team - looking forward to next year
